Your data
Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 July 2026
HelmWise AI Governance (“HelmWise”, “we”, “us”) respects your privacy. This policy explains what personal data we process, why, on what legal basis, and your rights. It is written to meet both the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (nFADP) and, for visitors in the EU/EEA, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).
1. Who is responsible (controller)
Matthew van der Walt, trading as HelmWise AI Governance — Im Baurenacker 17, 8902 Urdorf, Switzerland. Data-protection contact: privacy@helmwisegovernance.com.
2. What we collect, why, and our legal basis
Enquiry & quiz forms (via Tally)
When you submit a contact form or complete a readiness/evidence quiz, we collect the details you provide — typically name, email, company, country and your answers. We use these to respond to you, provide the information or result you requested, and — only if you opt in — send you related updates. Legal basis: steps taken at your request / our legitimate interest in responding; consent for marketing.
Purchases (via Stripe / Link as merchant of record)
Stripe/Link processes your payment and billing data as the seller of record; we do not receive or store your full card details. We receive limited order data (such as email, product purchased and country) to deliver your download and provide support. Legal basis: performance of your purchase / our legitimate interest in fulfilment and record-keeping.
Email updates (via MailerLite)
If you subscribe, we process your email address and engagement data to send updates you asked for. Every email has an unsubscribe link. Legal basis: consent.
Workflow automation (via Make)
We use Make to move the above data between our tools (e.g. form to mailing list, purchase to delivery), acting on our instructions.
Support email (via Google Workspace)
If you email us, we process your message and contact details to help you. Legal basis: legitimate interest / steps at your request.
Website analytics (Google Analytics 4 via Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity)
With your consent, we use analytics and session-insight tools to understand how the site is used and improve it. These set cookies and collect usage data (e.g. pages viewed, device, approximate location, interactions). Legal basis: consent (set via our cookie banner).
Hosting & security (via Framer)
Our host processes standard server/log data (e.g. IP address, browser) to serve and secure the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest in security and delivery.
3. Cookies & analytics
Essential cookies needed to run the site are always on. Analytics/insight cookies (GA4, Clarity) load only after you consent via our cookie banner, and you can change your choice at any time.
4. Who we share data with
We use the following providers, who process data on our behalf or as independent controllers for the sale: Stripe / Link (payments, merchant of record), MailerLite (email), Make (automation), Google (Workspace email, Google Analytics, Tag Manager, Drive storage of records), Tally (forms), Microsoft Clarity (analytics), Framer (hosting). We do not sell your personal data.
5. International transfers
Some providers are based outside Switzerland/the EU (e.g. in the US). Where data is transferred abroad, it is protected by appropriate safeguards — such as the EU/Swiss adequacy frameworks or Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. How long we keep data
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purpose collected or as required by law (e.g. accounting records under Swiss law). Marketing data is kept until you unsubscribe.
7. Your rights
You may request access to, correction, or deletion of your data; restrict or object to processing; request portability; and withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, email privacy@helmwisegovernance.com. You may also complain to the Swiss Federal Data Protection and Information Commissioner (FDPIC) or, in the EU/EEA, your local data-protection authority.
8. Security
We use reputable providers and reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No online service is 100% secure.
9. Changes
We may update this policy; the current version is always on this page with its date.
